Why does the MyWalmart app drain my phone's battery so fast?
A large number of reviewers, including on official work phones, report the app continuing to run in the background and use the camera even when closed, draining a full battery in as little as a few hours and causing the phone to heat up noticeably. This appears to be a widespread issue tied to a recent update rather than something specific to one device or phone model.
For whatever reason the most recent app update is functioning in the background of my phone and has seriously drained the battery daily. Normally my personal phone outlasts my work phone. The app drains both work and personal phones. Until the developer provides a better update it will continue to operate in the background draining battery life.

Does the MyWalmart app track my location?
Reviewers report the app requesting near-constant GPS access beyond what's needed simply to clock in or out, with at least one reviewer describing this as new behavior introduced in a recent update that wasn't clearly communicated to employees beforehand. If you're concerned about this, reviewers suggest restricting the app's background location and camera permissions in your phone's settings where your workplace policy allows it.
After latest the update this app is constantly using GPS, non-stop and my personal phone runs hot. Except for clocking in/out why does Walmart need to see my location? When did they inform employees they would be tracking our location 24/7? I will no longer give this app permission to run in the background. Debating on removing this spy app from my phone entirely

Why does the MyWalmart app keep logging me out?
Multiple reviewers describe being logged out unexpectedly and then unable to log back in through the normal login screen, with the only reliable fix reported being to clear the app's cache and local storage before signing in again. This appears to be a recurring, unresolved issue rather than a one-time bug.
More of a warning on what to expect, as there really aren't any alternatives, aside from literally calling in to report things and using physical timeclocks, but this app is trash in at least two important ways. Most importantly, it keeps logging you out, and then prevents you from logging in again unless you delete the app's cache and local storage. That's the only way and you do this every day because it's the only way to get in. Secondly, they keep adding bloat. But this is what we have.
