They do that thing where there is no button to cancel your plan. Otherwise it's not bad, but that alone gets you 1 star.
Good luck trying to cancel this service. It's super convoluted and for some reason there's not a button in the app that says "cancel subscription". You're supposed to be able to do it on their website but of course it never worked for me. I shouldn't have to call and talk to someone in this day and age.
This app is terrible, if you want to pause the deliveries you have to manually skip each individual weeks or straight up deactive/delete your account. If you forget to skip, they choose randomly for you and charge you if you don't cancel in advance. Edit: After leaving this review they said "You can pause your deliveries under Plan Settings without manually skipping weeks". That is actually not an option on this app and the point of this bad review.

Such a scam company. Make you add a credit card for account sign up saying we won't charge you. Then creates you an order that can't be cancelled online. Avoid Hello Fresh
I would give it 0 if I could! my experience was such a HUGE disappointment!! I wanted to see the recipes before I committed but you can't without creating an account, so 7..so needless to say I DID NOT MAKE ANY CHOICES OR DID I ORDER AT THE TIME. next day I recieved not 1,but 2 charges! for $110 and $77 next day it happened AGAIN!! same amounts. week later I received 3 meals that were NOTHING we could or would eat, they finally refunded $110, then quit responding to me. NEVER AGAIN!

Order if you want them to steal your money. I ordered and paid for a box to be delivered on July 26th. I paid $70 for this box I was notified it would be delayed by 2 days. Now I'm told, it's just not coming. I never received a box and they refuse to refund me!!! this is literally fraudulent theft. hellofresh stole my money and refused to give me the product or a refund!!! if I could give zero Stars I would. I have to contact my bank to reverse their charges

The food is mostly great, but the app is a nightmare to use. There are so many pop-ops and slides that move or cover over nearly any time I try to use it. It's extremely frustrating.

App is incredibly slow compared to competitors, can't find a way to search recipes either. Takes forever to remove the recipes they auto suggest and then they suddenly appear again if you go to another tab in the app. With my pain condition it's basically unusable.
Hate the new interface, can't sort by the categories like 'family friendly' anymore and it's so much harder to sift through all the recipes to find what we are interested in. Would also love if we could sort by pasta/rice/other

Don't expect to receive what you order and do expect to pay the subscription price regardless of what they send. I paid for 3 meals, received only two. That was the straw that broke the camels back. The previous order was missing g a few ingredients for one of my meals.
it os not reliable and dont do it. for they forget entire meals they have charged you for and forgotten ingredients. they say they give out freebies but the has never happened and I've gotten 14 boxes. they never gave me my extra protein I paid for. they only paid me back less than my whole missing salmon meal was worth recipes are delicious though..

my box showed up 3 days after it was due. the dive set it in a sunny spot on my porch. the salmon was hot and smelled nasty I had to toss it out. I arrived home later in the afternoon and was not pleased.
My issue isn't with the app but with the merchant. Initially, the meals were good, recipes were easy, convenient and easy to make. Then the longer I had my subscription the quality, quantity and "freshness" of the meals left alot to be desired. The produce was old, withered, extremely small and at times not edible. Other times I received inaccurate recipes and the customer service was pitiful. I was eventually successful canceling my subscription but it wasn't easy.
every box has been 1+ ingredients or has had rotten produce. poor quality control. don't do it. customer service refunds us, but that doesn't help us when we're hungry and trying to scramble to feed ourselves. 0/10

Good fresh food but so expensive! Switched to Safeway ready meals, just as good, $4-5 less and ready to microwave!

UX has become unworkable with constant popups about how many boxes I've ordered toward a reward or warning me my box hasnt been selected even when it has. in app customer service chat is useless, ai bot constantly says I'm not logged in, or gaslights me about deliveries.
