Is the Linksys app working or broken right now?
Recent reviews are sharply mixed, but the strongest pattern is negative: users often describe the app as broken, stuck loading, unable to log in, or unable to manage the router. A small number of reviewers say it works well, so it is not universally broken, but anyone installing it to solve an urgent router problem should be cautious.
The Linksys app is working excellently.
Absolute trash. Can't even log into the app anymore. Tried resetting router password but still nothing. Like it doesn't recognize the network already connected to my account. App is currently completely useless. No matter which way I try, it appears to be impossible to actually manage my router now. Can't wait to be done with Linksys, never again.
Trash! This app used to work fine. Had multiple networks and no issues. Now the app is broken. I'll never buy another linksys product again.

Why does Linksys keep saying “getting router settings” or “securely logging you in”?
Reviewers describe a loop between loading router settings and logging in, sometimes after entering credentials successfully. In those reports, the loop prevents access to settings such as WPS, channel changes, speed settings, and basic router management. The reviews do not show a reliable fix from reinstalling, force closing, or trying again.
Just gets stuck in a loop between logging in and fetching router settings. If I close and reopen, it will show a very basic looking screen for the settings but then just gets stuck in the loop again
constantly looping "securely logging in" "getting router settings" CONSTANTLY. CANNOT TURN ON WPS BECAUSE IT'S NOT ON THE ROUTER. CAN'T TURN IT ON ON THE ADMIN PAGE BECAUSE ITS NOT AN OPTION. CANT TURN IT ON THROUGH THE APP BECAUSE IT WILL NOT LOG IN.
literally doesn't work, loops a "getting router settings" message without ever showing anything

Why can’t I log into Linksys or get the verification code?
Several reviewers report account and authentication failures: verification codes that never arrive, repeated requests for one-time passwords, recovery-key problems, or being sent back to the login page. Because the app login is tied to Linksys online services for many users, these failures can block router management entirely.
I hadn't needed to use this app for a while. Now, I'm able to login with my username and password, but the app then says it needs to send me a verification code, which never arrives no matter how long I wait or how many times I click resend. is this app even supported any more?
Glitchy and inaccurate app but critical for setup with how Linksys made the routers now. Login is to their online services, not directly to the router anymore. Remote services and reboot is nice, but... When I go into the app, I'm constantly asked for yet another "one-time" password, or it says there is an error and I need to reboot the system. Then, after I reboot my router, it says no internet despite all my devices connected and working normally.
currently unusable, I clock login, it goes to a page that shows a loading sign and says securely logging you in. then back to the login page with it frozen and nothing clickable. force close and repeat the process with being unable to login.

Why doesn’t Linksys detect or connect to my router?
The Play listing says the app is for Velop systems and Linksys Smart WiFi routers, so unsupported models may not work. Even so, reviewers with connected routers report the app saying it cannot find the router, is not connected, or has no routers on the network. That means compatibility and account setup are worth checking, but the reviews also point to app-side detection failures.
it can't even detect the Cisco router that I had connected to (E900). Says connect to router whereas I have already connected.
on opening the app on any command it just stalls and starts looking for the router, yet it is connected.called support to be told the model 7 doesn't work on the system
Hot garbage. Constantly says Im not connected to my network when I am and mobile connection is disabled on my phone. The idea I have to use a stupid phone app to use the features of my router instead of connecting to it via IP is mind boggling. Tried reinstalling and now it says there are no routers on my network, when Im connected to my network via the router. If I didnt get these mesh routers at a steal I would never use Linksys.

Do Linksys parental controls work?
Parental controls are one of the app’s advertised features, and a few reviewers specifically like them. However, recent complaints say parental controls hang, cannot be completed, miss connected devices, or fail because device identification changes. If parental controls are the main reason you need the app, the reviews suggest a real risk of frustration.
I'm satisfied with this App I can put Parental Control!!
since the last update, we can't manage parental controls at all. it just hangs!!
Slow and often fails to process commands. Missing connected devices from Parental controls. Unable to successfully clear offline devices. Unable to remove devices from parental controls.

Can I set up a Linksys router or add nodes with the app?
Reviews do not give much confidence for setup tasks. Users describe initial setup failures, trouble adding modems or nodes, and being stuck when a node stops connecting. One reviewer notes the app is critical for setup with newer Linksys routers, which makes these failures more serious.
the worst app i have ever used and the worst routers ever not easy to set up and connectivity issue started since the first min
connected to router setup wifi and says it couldn't find it
Works well for some things. Doesn't work at all for adding nodes and the troubleshooting is poor

Can I use Linksys in a web browser instead of the app?
Some reviewers say they were told to use a browser or found web access more practical than the app. The app description also references LinksysSmartWiFi.com for accounts and support resources. But the workaround is not guaranteed: one reviewer says the browser login page no longer worked, and another says web access should not be on mobile.
absolutely trash. i even spoke with the support for Linksys and they said tp not use the app because it doesnt work, that its not reliable.. idk why they just don't fix it, but whatever. you have to go to the web browser site( and not on mobile for some stupid reason)... Just fix the app!!
Forever loading spin wheel. Have cleared cache, uninstalled etc but I think the app simply doesn't work. Accessing via Web might be ideal here
log me out from time to time , and don't let me get back in. have to connect a PC on Lan to my router

Is Linksys slow, glitchy, or crashing?
Yes, performance complaints are a major theme in the reviews. Users describe long loading times, freezing, crashes, repeated reloads, and commands that fail to process. These complaints often appear alongside login and router-detection problems, so the slowness may prevent users from completing ordinary router tasks.
It is slow and crashes all the time. Device names are a nightmare to change into something recognisable without the app crashing. I have not been able to set parental controls because the IP address of the devices keep changing. This app is unnecessarily difficult to use.
Buggy & freezes often. Please spend a fraction of your CEO's salary and overhaul this app.
A horrible app runs like garbage takes forever to load if it even loads

Does Linksys correctly show and name connected devices?
Some reviewers say the connected-device list is inaccurate or hard to manage. Complaints include unknown devices shown generically, wrong device types, crashes when renaming devices, missing devices in parental controls, and offline devices that cannot be cleared. That matters because device identification is central to parental controls and network management.
This has to be the worst app I have ever experienced. what a load of rubbish on every level. The app tells me I am not connected when I am, you can't change icons and rename devices without crashing, I have no idea who is connected to the network because it doesn't tell you what the devices are apart from network device which are all apparently android devices when we have a few iPhone devices etc It really is awful. This linksys network and app is nothing compared to tp link. Needs a big fix.
Waste of time. Only thing it does is whether you have an internet connection. cannot log in, hangs forever, can't list devices, can't manage nodes Deserves a ZERO rating. Do not bother
