At the time I downloaded the app I did not know it was offering just a free trial. When I realized it, it seemed to be a good app so I tried it for a little bit then decided it wasn't worth the money so I deleted it. This has worked on a few other apps so I thought it was ok. THEN I checked my credit card bill and saw a charge for $39.99. I quickly let them know thatI did not want the serv and had deleted the app thinking that would cancel it. They cancel it but still charged me 39.99.
edited review: I got it to test. It identified plants correctly. I was not notified when the free trial period was up and was charged for a 1 year subscription, but upon contacting Picture This, they were apologetic and helpful. I received a full refund. If I decide to use a plant ID app in future, I would still consider this one.

All you have to do is take a picture of a plant ( indoor or outdoor) tree, shrub, weed, grass or whatever and it gives you all the details of what it is, how to take care of it, whether it's healthy or not and also gives you home remedies First then lists something you can purchase to fix it. If you are into plants this app is amazing. You can try it for free and the subscription is very reasonable!
when I installed this app it said "free trial" but I like using the app a while before paying for anything. Took a photo of one of my plants and it identified my plant incorrectly lol. there's no way my mattress button plant IS a snowflake plant. I'm so glad I tested your app before getting charged for it, considering the app can't identify my plant 😅
I thought it was free but everytime you open it takes you to the subscription page. I think the photos and "my plants" section is cool for tracking what's in my different planters and bed. The photo identifier portion is hit or miss. If you have flowers it's usually spot on. When dealing with just leaves it's hit or miss. It also identified a plant by name as a highly invasive weed that Google says is an invasive plant (not weed).

it doesnt even tell you whats wrong with the plant!! its just a sh!!!ty paywall app that requires premium to do everything. it says it has diseases and its sick and then goes and says you need premium or plus whatever to check what is actually wrong with it. a but more water to my plant and it was fine, even Google is more reliable than this app. do NOT recommend unless you want to spend money for useless information.
I am really enjoying this app! Very user-friendly. I love the reminders. They come in real handy. I like that it will tell you what is wrong plus, give you ways to heal the plants.

I need to revise my review. I gave a poor review because of the renewal process. The app itself is wonderful! Worth the money if you are always planting and working in the yard. The billing process,which to be fair is not handed by PictureThis, but google pay in this instance. I wish they would either turn off the auto renewal or send a reminder email for each new subscription. Anyway, I changed my 1 star to 4. It would be 5 but the pay/ subscription issue is there.
Way too expensive. I could buy a couple books that I could take into the outback with me and get instant answers. With this you ha ve to have an internet connection and it's only good for one year. My reference books will be good for ever, no renewal subscription. It's worth about $2-3 in my opinion. I asked for a refund and got no response. Doesn't surprise me.

I originally posted this a few months ago and still no change. When you first download the app, it takes you through an unskippable tutorial and brings up multiple times how great the app is. Literally an unskippable slideshow. IT IS A LONG SLIDESHOW.
while it works well (eventually) it opens up with a long add reel, repeatedly begs for money, then a trial. Once it's working it seems to be good at identifying plants, but it is extremely and unnecessarily difficult to use because it is bloated with non-stop, incessant ads. Used it for as long as I could put up with it (5 minutes) then uninstalled.
firdt off, marketing is a bit deceptive imo. using word "free" when its really a free trial to a subscription plan that requires payment info. second, opening the app plays these annoying cutscenes that take like a whole minute, and you cant skip them. Deleted this app right away.

And worse, I can't correct it even when I have the label from the nursery, because it only allows me to select from'(the mostly northern hemisphere) plants it knows.
Fine if you live in the US. There's no option for setting temps to ⁰C, maps only for US. I would pay for this of the UK would be catered to, including metrics, but sadly not. So I'll cancel subscription before end of free trial. Disappointing 👎
