Why won't mySolarEdge connect after changing Wi-Fi or a router?
Recent reviews describe a real pain point around reconnecting mySolarEdge after a modem or router change. Users report repeating the same setup process without success, seeing the app say it is connected but still showing no data, or being passed between SolarEdge support and the installer. The Play Store description also notes that inverter communication setup is only for SetApp-enabled inverters, and monitoring permissions may require contacting the installer.
after upgrading wifi modem can no longer connect to app. just keep getting told to do the same process, which is not working. no other helped offered. been trying over a month and still not working
No one to support. App uses chat bot that has simple to follow instructions, but it didn't help me to get the app to display power production. I reset router. I scanned the QR code on the inverter and followed instructions. app says I'm connected, but no data. can't get anyone to help fix this and I've been trying for 3 weeks now. your customer service sucks!
I got a new router over a month ago. Connected all my devices with little effort. All except our inverter. No matter what I try, the mySolarEdge app won't connect. Their chat bot and Google didn't help. Their customer support is practically non-existent. We did finally talk to a representative who said we needed to call our solar installer. Our solar installer said they'll only come for a $99 fee. They both blame the other for the problem. SolarEdge gets a failing grade.

Why does mySolarEdge keep logging me out or fail to log in?
Login reliability is a recurring complaint in the reviews. Users describe being logged out repeatedly, browser-based login not returning them to the app, crashes during login, password-reset issues, and biometric authentication not being remembered. If you rely on quick monitoring from your phone, the reviews suggest login friction can get in the way.
Stop automatically logging me out on an app on my phone just because I haven't used the app in a while. I should never have to log into this app more than once.
Still a laggy application. Today I got logged out and the login screen is pushed to my web browser (fine), I can enter my credentials on my web browser but I never get back to the app as logged in, looks like the workflow is broken, the app is now completely useless as I cannot use it anymore, why log me out in the first place? Why is the SE support so painful too? I leave a note here as I cannot be bothered with their painful help process. The previous app was just so simple and effective...
It claims to ask to set up biometric authentication, then proceeds to make you log all the way in and setup biometric authentication all the time. So it clearly neither remembers the drive or the Biometric authentication..

Does mySolarEdge show current and accurate solar production data?
The reviews are mixed. Some users say mySolarEdge gives them useful and accurate production reporting. Others say the app shows stale data, missing daily generation, incorrect charts, or production details that stop loading after updates. Prospective users should not assume the live production view will always be current.
The new app is awful. It doesn't update in a timely manner. If I refresh the app, I should get current data. The info on the app right now is over 4 hours old - how can I monitor my system without up-to-date data? Revert back to the old app. At least once a week the app does not have the daily generation amount due to a "technical issue" that keeps coming back, apparently.
The newest version of the graph sucks! I had a 1 1/2 hour power outage, and the graph showed it as lower generation, not as no generation, which is what it was. I am going back to the older version! New 9/2026 version sucks as well. It constantly says data is missing, which usually it is, different missing data each time I use it. All solar panel data is always missing!
It's been over a year now since using the app to monitor our home solar system. So far, the results have satisfied me in knowing the system is working as designed. The data accumulated has proven the accuracy of the inverter and solar panel output and we're satisfied. The previously used solar monitoring app wasn't nearly as accurate and not as reliable reporting data from the system.

Can mySolarEdge show individual panel performance and inverter details?
Reviewers specifically complain that recent versions made panel-level information harder to use or unavailable. Some say panel production is no longer visible, panels are smaller and faded, and inverter information has disappeared. The app listing says inverter status and troubleshooting are available only for SetApp-enabled inverters, so access may also depend on the system type.
New version 3.5 has a bug which got updated on sep 3rd. panel level production is not visible anymore. so no way to tell whether all panels are generating. in previous 3.3 version it was working
the change to the PV panels veiw is a backwards step. I used to be able to read each panels performance without a problem. each panel is now much smaller and faded making them impossible to read. The information about the inverter has completely disappeared 😕😞. why do people make changes that are obviously worse than existed previously? 😞🤔🤔
the inability to pair optimizers and unable to update current ones

Can I change battery, inverter, billing, or utility settings in mySolarEdge?
Reviews suggest user controls are limited or unreliable for some owners. People report losing the ability to set battery charge and discharge percentages, being unable to update battery settings, billing-cycle settings that spin and reset, and needing the installer for changes such as utility rate settings. The app may monitor more reliably than it controls, depending on the feature and system setup.
they modified the app , i can no longer set the battery charge/discharge %
Update, app constantly logs you out. SolarEdge allows very little customization on the users end. You have to go back to the installer to get something as little as changing your utility rate. That should be included in the app. Very locked down system, go with a different system.
Edit: My complaints returned 9/3/26 update, now constant crashes too. Original review: For several months now I have not been able to set the billing cycle on rolling days, it spins and spins, and when I exit the app it resets to some other date range. This makes it very hard to track my usage. It also only shows kWh data to 3 digits, so you lose a lot of resolution once you get above 1000kWh in a month.

How good is mySolarEdge customer support when the app or system stops working?
The recent review sample is strongly critical of support. Reviewers describe chatbot loops, unanswered service paths, difficulty reaching a live person, callbacks that take too long, and being told to contact an installer instead. Because the app listing says monitoring permissions require the installer, support and installer access appear to matter a lot if your account, inverter, or data connection breaks.
No one to support. App uses chat bot that has simple to follow instructions, but it didn't help me to get the app to display power production. I reset router. I scanned the QR code on the inverter and followed instructions. app says I'm connected, but no data. can't get anyone to help fix this and I've been trying for 3 weeks now. your customer service sucks!
getting technical support is difficult, when I do speak with a live person, they send me links to YouTube videos. The chat option is the worst.
Solar Edge is a terrible company with NO personal customer support. My solar is not working and they told me to call another install company for help!

Does mySolarEdge warn you when your solar system goes offline?
At least one reviewer says the app did not notify them when the system went offline, which led to missed production. Other reviews describe discovering inverter or system problems only after the fact. If offline alerts are essential to you, the reviews do not give a reassuring picture of dependable notifications.
The app works fine for displaying production. However it will not notify you at all if your system goes offline. I lost 2 months of solar production this summer because of a tripped breaker. A basic notification feature should be a no brainer.
Not necessarily the apps fault but I have no access to my inverter not to mention the fact that it apparently hasn't been working for the past 6 months. I also can't get a hold of anybody from solaredge as I've requested a case multiple times so maybe this will do something.
It stopped updating the inverter status. Customer service was no help.

Do mySolarEdge widgets and Wear OS work reliably?
The app description says monitoring and control are available on Google Wear OS devices such as Pixel Watch, but recent reviews raise problems with both watch support and widgets. Widget complaints include production graphs not updating, widgets turning into login prompts, and multi-site widgets no longer showing different sites.
Having issues with the widget lately where the daily production graph is not updating unless I open the app.
This app used to be 5 stars and has gone down hill. You used to be able to put a widget on your home screen for each site. You could see at a glance that each array was generating. Now it only supports one site. So if you have multiple widgets you just see the same site multiple times. Also instead of staying logged in, it kicks you out regularly and so your one widget for one site just says Login required. I wrote to SolarEdge about this and they didn't write back.
Does not work with watch

Is mySolarEdge useful for monitoring solar production when it works?
Yes, some reviewers say mySolarEdge is convenient and accurate for checking solar production and confirming that a home system is working. That positive feedback sits alongside many complaints about reliability, so the best-supported answer is that the app can be useful for monitoring, but recent experiences are uneven.
