Stop putting ads in front of the app. This is a security app not entertainment. I do not want to see a plumbing service add taking up the whole screen and forcing me to press a tiny button in the top right corner to get to my security feed.

The cameras are good the software is OK. But they recently added ads when you start the app AND worst of all when you go into LIVE VIEW for the camera. So if something critical is happening you're going to miss it because you have to wait for the ad finish. There's also ads within the app. So I can't recommwnd this brand anymore.

horrible app... you have to watch a full screen ad before you even get to a camera... are you kidding me? I already paid for this cam... there shouldn't be any ads in the app that supports a camera.

App has begun to start with sketchy fullscreen ads that try to fake virus warnings. If you are not aware of these ads, clicking on them thinking they are actual warnings can install adware or spyware on your device.

Very large SCAM Adverts appear on opening the app, they are that large they are so easy to click, which then downloads an app that HIGHJACKS your phone! I've had to sort out removing the SCAM apps off my mum's phone three times now. The section that takes you to the camera device is very tiny at the top. I've noticed the screenshots do not show this, you are disgusting! I will remove this review if you remove your disgusting ads!

This app sometimes pops up deceptive ads saying your app or account is restricted and you need to tap the "Remove" button to remove the restriction. The button opens the Google Play store trying to get you to install another app. I'm OK with ads to help pay for development on the app but this makes me want to uninstall the VicoHome app.

Absolutely disgusting company. Used to give a bunch of free features so people would buy cameras that worked for them, but now that people have them installed you cannot even see the video recordings without paying a subscription fee. Just get to see one random photo of a thumbnail unless you pay a fee now. I have paid the subscription in the past, but I'm likely going to swap out my cameras now to ones that at least offer a few seconds of video for free. 🤮 Such a gross business tactic.

At first, this camera seems great, but after two years it becomes almost useless without a subscription. Without paying, you can only watch the live feed with no access to video history or other important features. Don’t waste your money choose a camera that records without forcing you into a subscription.

I have used their cameras and app for years, unfortunately a month or 2 ago they started having advertisements in the app. I decided to tolerate it for now. Today, they require a subscription to see rather short motion detected videos. without a subscription you only get 1 picture. this effectively makes it the worse app i have used or currently use for security. now I will need to change out some cameras that no longer have video protection. Now there are better options out there.

I have 2 cameras. One for the front door, and one for the back. The back camera constantly records 10 second intervals of absolutely nothing. The front camera never records people walking up to my door, just when they're already there, and it won't record the whole interaction. Even with the monthly subscription for both cameras, you are unable to rewind live footage. I got this because of my psycho stalker ex, and it barley captured his last visit. I will be going to another camera company.

First, when needing to save a default position for the camera the app makes you go back to Home, then back to the camera navigation options before trying to make any other changes to settings. And most glaringly, never displays the actual movement in the clips. Shows only a empty after image with multiple clips as a subset. As such, one has to WADE THROUGH multiple time slots to find the actual motion being captured!!! A SERIOUS FLAW!

After years of working, they now violate USA laws to put free features behind paywall. Also, software getting much worse. Camera misses important events now, cuts off during active movement. I now have 1 sec videos with people. Also reported corrupt, malicious ads that claim your phone is severely damaged and must download a PUP/malware. Corrupt, like their 5 star reviews! It doesn't connect to any smart systems, battery only lasts 1 week after 1yr., don't take responsibility for their problems.

Runs weird ads that could definitely scam someone at some point. You also have to wait for the ads to let you skip. It takes a while to open the live camera. In case of an emergency it will take way too long to open. I do not recommend at all.

01-01-25 The app is always having issues . cameras have had connection issues . perfect wifi signal and half of the time the app freezes when trying to view the camera. anytime I've ever needed it to catch something it isn't fast enough and if it's recording a loop and you try to click on the camera it will freeze . times I've opened the app it'll show it caught something but then won't be in library. update 8-28-26 ...now you have to watch an ad before you can check your cameras ..what a joke

this app in unsafe. when checking my camera I should be able to see who is in my yard, home, or at the door immediately. the first thing this app makes you do is watch an add. complete unsafe. this should be illegal.

horrible service camera always says offline when the wifi is on i have to constantly reboot app it never connects to camera not to mention the ads

Not great security. Keeps kicking off line. Set-up and picture are good. But having trouble staying connected and reconnecting is pretty terrible.

garbage camera and app it disconnected from my wifi and no matter what i do it won't connect back. Useless piece of junk

Free is very very limited as motion detection will constantly give you notifications. They dont at least let you pick only human detection for free. You will get notifications for plants moving and even shadow every mintue. So you cant use these cameras freely. Rating mostly reflects this.

It's good and clear BUT, they are slow at being activated. and they constantly tell me there's a vehicle leaving when it's been parked for days but it does that when something passes by, like a dog or cat. the ai isn't ai-ing. I pay a yearly subscription for 5 cameras. they now have an upgrade for the ai part but want me to pay MORE in order to use it. if it weren't for the slow connection and the costly ai upgrade then I'd give it 5 stars.

if the wind blows or an ant crawls on your neighbors sidewalk across the street this thing goes off like a stool pigeon non stop crime stopper style. however someone breaks into you car in your drive way to steal it, then stops and pets the neighbors dog, 45min convo w neighbor and a cup of coffee later after making new friends they finish the theft by driving away you might, and i mean YOU just might get a notification about it tomorrow... same with the "live feed" viewing option...

The app and cameras are both junk...lol I just lowered my rating 3 to one star. They kept pushing you to buy their cloud but I never did because I use the SD cards. It would be a -5 stars if I could. 1st these cameras are not the best. You can't even put a bigger SD card only 32G. It is so slow it has missed me. The app was bad enough now they added ads. I only use these cameras for my different animals I live on a farm. Now every time I open it you have those ads and I have to wait. GREEDY !!!!

this app is terrible, for years I have been able to view the videos on my memory card now they.want me to buy a subscription im not doing.thay beware what a scam im going to throw the thing on the trash scam scam

I'm removing the cameras because I can no longer view any playback without upgrading. Buyers beware!

I used to love these cameras and the app, but it has steadily gotten worse. There is an ad as soon as you open the app that is loud and you have to watch for so long before getting to your feed. Then suddenly my cameras stopped detecting motion ,stopped recording, and stopped notifications. I messaged support, my wife messaged support and got we just stock answers that did not help. I used to suggest these cameras to everyone, I no longer do.

I cancelled my subscription before the date required but they had already charged me .. now I cant get a refund.. and customer service is emailing for a week now with no solution. the app did not work for what I needed it to do which was set a motion perimeter it didnt work it was going off for motion outside the perimeter.. this with the bad customer service.

I do not have home camera. I do not remember authorizing this payment. Cancel my subscription.

I have loved everything about my BirdSnap cam feeder & this app UNTIL THE INTRUSIVE MESSAGE TO CHANGE TO A DIFFERENT APP, WHICH REVIEWERS SAY HAS MANY ISSUES, STARTED POPPING UP EVERY TIME I TRY TO GO LIVE. I WANT MY LIVE CAM, SOUND, ALARM, WHITE LIGHT BUT CAN'T GET TO THEM BECAUSE OF THE INTRUSIVE APP AD. I MAY HAVE TO DITCH THE ENTIRE CAMERA. IT'S PATHETIC. GIVE PPL A CHOICE TO SWITCH, NOT DEMAND IT. I PAY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION, TOO!

Pay wall slop. Bought a birdhouse and cant even use it because they don't allow the camera I bought, the use other apps or software. Horrible product made to sell you their monthly subscription.
