Is Plenty of Fish legit?
Plenty of Fish is a genuine Match Group dating app and some people have met partners on it over the years. But recent reviewers say it is overrun with inactive and fake profiles and that messaging and seeing your likes now sit behind a paywall, and many long-time users conclude it is no longer worth using.
Used to be a 4 star rating. Now the app. is complete trash and has been overrun by fakes for quite a while. It'll never be what it once was. Edit - notifications are broke now. Despite getting notified on my phone of new likes, the number of likes in the app. never changes.

Is Plenty of Fish free, and do I have to pay to send messages?
Not effectively free anymore, according to recent reviewers. They report being limited to roughly one message per day and being unable to see who has liked you, unless you buy a subscription. Long-time users say it used to allow unlimited free messaging.

Are the profiles on Plenty of Fish real, or bots and dead accounts?

Why was my Plenty of Fish account banned, and how do I appeal?
A striking number of recent reviewers report sudden bans with no clear reason, sometimes within hours of creating an account, sometimes after completing verification, and sometimes before ever sending a message. So disappointed with this app. Out of all the dating apps i've been on this is the only app i've ever been banned on. I barely made my account, i spent hours personalizing. I added pictures that were all recent. I even went through the verification process, which wasn't required, still did it. I was approved & verified. I had not even messaged anyone. A couple of hours after making my personalized account, I got an email saying banned for misrepresentation/false identity which is so wrong!

Why does Plenty of Fish photo or selfie verification keep failing?
Reviewers report the selfie or photo verification repeatedly failing on Android, saying success and then asking them to try again, sometimes blocking access to messages and profiles while it is pending. This is a recurring recent complaint.
Their photo verification fails every time on Android. Terrible search, horrible matches. Always adjusts location far away, even though I'm in a major city. I can't log into Plenty of Fish and never got the password reset email, what do I do?

Why do I get "Someone likes you" notifications on Plenty of Fish with nothing in the app?
