Is NewsBreak a scam?
NewsBreak is a legitimate, widely used local news app, but a number of reviewers report being charged for a subscription they never knowingly signed up for — in one case a pre-installed subscription charged without consent and left unrefunded — so check your Play Store subscriptions if you see an unexpected charge, and don't assume any premium prompt inside the app is optional.
I NEVER ordered or wanted this subscription. Pre installed on my phone and charged without my consent. No way to get a refund. Emailed customer service, no response back. $60Scam & Fraud!

Is the content on NewsBreak trustworthy, or is it AI-generated?
Several recent reviewers say they've noticed AI-written articles and AI-generated videos on the app, including on sensitive topics, and say this has made them trust the app's reporting less — worth cross-checking anything important against another source.
