Is Chrome Beta safe to use as my main browser?
Chrome Beta is Google's official pre-release version of Chrome, so it is genuine, but by design it ships unfinished features and bugs. Many reviewers keep regular Chrome installed alongside it and treat Chrome Beta as a secondary browser, which is how Google intends it to be used.
Fun to use. A great second browser alternative. I really like this version.

Is Chrome Beta a scam or fake?
No. It is published by Google as an official test channel for Chrome on Android. The occasional review calling it fake can be disregarded; the real trade-off is beta instability, not authenticity.
yah app fek hai isko bilkul bhi download mat Karna mujhe utna hi kahana tha dhanyvad thank u aur aap theek rahi hai yahi ki main

Why is the address bar at the bottom in Chrome Beta, and how do I move it back to the top?
This is by far the most-voted recent complaint. Reviewers dislike the bottom address bar and its auto-hide behaviour, and say that even after a setting was added to move the URL box back to the top, the tab count and menu stay at the bottom. Check the browser's settings for an address-bar position option, but be aware reviewers report it as only a partial fix.
I truly hate that I have to scroll all the way to the top of the screen just to get address bar and open tabs. I don't like that it auto hids. I want it the option to always have it shown Update: The option wasn't to force it to the bottom. Stop trying to force this on us please. We didn't like it before we don't like it now

Why is there a yellow tint on every page in Chrome Beta?
Reviewers, including the single most-voted recent review, report a yellowish tint over every page and website in Chrome Beta specifically, not in stable Chrome. It is a known beta-build issue rather than something wrong with your device.
Aug 2026 and the address bar is at the bottom and can be moved to the top, but ONLY the URL box not the other items,: tab count, 3 dot menu, etc must stay at the bottom😡,and only on Chrome beta, NOT Chrome stable, there is a yellowish tint over every page and website I go to. I've come to enjoy this app and find it a little faster (a little) than Chrome® stable, Edge, Firefox. but otherwise it's great, especially the translate.

Why does Chrome Beta keep asking me to update or get stuck in an update loop?
A cluster of reviewers reports the app prompting for an update, sending them to the Play Store where the version already shows as current, and looping like that for days so the app cannot be used. Reviewers describe this as a distribution problem on Google's side rather than user error.
If I can never get it installed😕 on the app it prompts you to update so you click on that link go back to Google Play Store and the version is current. It's been stuck in this Loop for 3 days. 😢

Why did Chrome Beta stop downloading in the background?
Several reviewers report that after a recent update, downloads no longer continue in the background, so you have to stay in the app for a download to finish. Reviewers describe this as a regression introduced by an update.
the app has been really good but after the last update it stop downloading in the background which is annoying

How do I leave the Chrome Beta program?
Reviewers complain that once you are in the beta it feels hard to get out. In practice you leave by uninstalling Chrome Beta (it installs separately from stable Chrome) and, if you joined a testing program for the stable app, leaving that program on the app's Play Store page; your regular Chrome is unaffected.
once you enter the beta they never let you exit
