Breeze: Self-Discovery Buddy — FAQ

Is Breeze a scam?

Recent reviews describe an overwhelming, consistent pattern that reads as a deliberate scam: a $1 or "pay-what-you-can" quiz result that's followed within days by unauthorized charges of $15–$45 or more, refunds refused even after contacting support, and charges continuing after a subscription is reported as cancelled. This isn't a one-off billing glitch a few users hit — it's the dominant complaint across nearly all recent reviews, and it matches how reviewers describe being billed.

total Scam. signed up for $1 trial, dinged for $35. After the one dollar agreement anything you click adds on to the bill without telling you. once I got the notification from my credit card I noped out but it was too late. stay far away. previous to their reply I had emailed customer service three times without response. lying thieves. be warned. never even got my "results" or used their BS app. complaint filed with Amex who is investigating. Google should remove this app from the play store

Is Breeze legit?

Based on recent reviews, no — reviewers describe the sign-up flow as designed to make an initial small charge look like the total cost while quietly authorizing much larger recurring charges, and describe cancellation as deliberately difficult, often requiring an email "magic link" that reviewers say never arrives. Anyone considering the app should assume any card details entered will be charged well beyond the advertised $1–2 quiz price.

Fraudulent subscription policy. Hidden fees and monthly payments I never agreed to. First, they offer a free test and then tell you that if you can't pay the full price, you can choose a 2 dollar donation. Then, they charge you full price anyway. And then, without your consent, you're subscribed automatically on a monthly 30 dollar fee. And they're making it difficult on purpose to cancel the subscription, with so many steps, links, logins and questions. Horrible and fraudulent app.

How do I cancel a Breeze subscription?

Reviewers report that cancelling inside the app sends you to enter your email for a "magic link" rather than cancelling directly, and that this link frequently never arrives, leaving no way to actually stop billing. Reviewers who did get charged after "cancelling" recommend cancelling directly through Google Play's subscription settings instead of trusting the in-app cancel flow, and disputing any further charges with your card issuer or bank if the app continues billing.

This app is a complete joke! When you select to cancel your subscription, it displays for you to enter your email address for a "magic link", no way to cancel except to contact an email address. I've sent 4 emails asking to cancel all subscriptions with no response. Don't bother downloading or wasting your time! I'm surprised Google even supports this trash!

Why was I charged more than $1 by Breeze?

Reviewers consistently describe agreeing to a small $1–2 charge to see quiz results, only to be charged an additional $14.99–$45 shortly after — sometimes in multiple separate charges — without a clear, easy-to-notice prompt authorizing the larger amount. Several reviewers describe declining visible add-on offers and still being charged anyway. If you've been charged more than the amount you agreed to, you're not alone, and disputing the charge with your bank appears to be more effective than contacting Breeze support directly.

I just wanted the test results, which were £1, so, after receiving the results, I attempted to cancel the subscription and the app gave me confirmation that it was cancelled. I just received a charge for £24.99 and I really cannot afford that at this point in time. I need my money back. Edit: I have tried emailing the support team but it only comes back with how to cancel the subscription, not how to get a refund.
