Is Alarm Clock Xtreme a scam?
No. It is a long-established alarm app with tens of millions of installs. A few reviewers use the word scam, usually about the app being unavailable in some countries or about being asked to pay again after buying a previous version, but the real issues are aggressive third-party ads and reliability bugs, not fraud.
I got an error that says I cannot use alarms in this location, why would an alarm app need a location in the first place. Pure discrimination. this is a scam.

Is Alarm Clock Xtreme safe?
It is a genuine, long-established alarm app and does not itself harm your device. Two caveats from recent reviewers: some of the third-party ads it serves impersonate virus or account alerts and should never be tapped, and at least one reviewer raises concerns about data collection. Given the reports of silent missed alarms, reviewers also advise not relying on it as your only alarm.
Collects and sells your data.

Why is my Alarm Clock Xtreme alarm not going off?
This is the most serious recent complaint: silent, missed alarms with no warning, often after getting a new phone, an Android update, or an overnight phone restart. Reviewers say the alarm sometimes only fires once they open the app. Check that battery optimization is disabled for the app, that it can display over other apps and override Do Not Disturb, and open the app at least once after any restart.
Been using this app for awhile to wake up for work but recently alarms aren't going off. This is the fourth time it's happened the past week or so. Unacceptable. I have a pixel btw. Uninstalling.

Why does Alarm Clock Xtreme keep telling me to fix settings that are already correct?
A cluster of reviewers reports the app repeatedly prompting to fix permissions, battery, overlay, Do Not Disturb, that are already granted, with the app not recognizing them. Reviewers link this to the missed-alarm problem and describe it as unresolved across updates.
This app has not been working correctly now for weeks. Says I need to fix settings that already are fixed, but the app doesn't seem to recognize it or is unable to properly communicate. Hopefully an update will come out to fix this issue. Until then, the app is, and will be, unreliable.

Why are there so many ads in Alarm Clock Xtreme, and why can't I close them?
Since around mid-2026 many reviewers report full-page ads that cannot be dismissed, sometimes all of the on-screen options lead to another ad, and ads appearing on the alarm screen itself when you wake up. Reviewers say force-closing the app is often the only escape. A paid version removes ads.
Update: It had gotten better for a while. Now it throws up ads with no option to close them or get out of it. I've had to spend way more time than I can when working just to get out of the app. I'm done. I'm now looking for a replacement. I don't mind ads, but forcing them to remain open with no way out is unacceptable. It used to be a great app. Now, all of a sudden, ads are forced on me before I can do anything else on the app. I've used it for multiple deadlines for my work for a few years.

Are the virus warnings in Alarm Clock Xtreme real?
No. Reviewers report ads claiming your device has many viruses, or that your Google account is out of date, with a button to tap. These are deceptive third-party ads served in the app, not messages from the app or from Google, and you should not tap them.
Ads now scaremonger users into thinking "Google has detected 97 viruses on your device!" absolutely INCREDIBLE stuff to put on someone's phone right after their alarm goes off. Just phenomenal. Many drowsy people just waking up who aren't sure what's real yet will LOVE these types of advertisements!!!! 💘

I paid for Alarm Clock Xtreme Pro, why am I being asked to pay again or seeing ads?
Reviewers report that a Pro version bought years ago was delisted, that themes which used to be free now require payment on a new phone, and that restoring a previous purchase does not always work. Some paid users also say ads have appeared for them. Contact the developer with proof of purchase if this happens.
the pro version I bought many years ago was delisted. I still use and love the app but that is just unacceptable.

Why does Alarm Clock Xtreme say it's unavailable in my location?
Several reviewers report the app suddenly showing as unavailable in their location or country, or disabling itself when they travel, and are frustrated that an alarm app is geo-restricted at all. This is an app-side restriction, not a device setting.
it used to work brilliantly however for some reason it now says unavailable in my location?

How do I stop accidentally deleting an alarm in Alarm Clock Xtreme?
Reviewers have asked for years for a confirmation prompt, because a light swipe, especially while half asleep, deletes an alarm you may have spent time configuring, and the undo option disappears quickly. Until an option is added, be careful swiping in the alarm list.
Works well, one problem i have is: accidentally swipping left will delete an alarm. Can u please, give us an option to turn it off the swipe to delete option. I have accidentally deleted my alarms. I know that undo pops right after, but not once it goes away, that's it. so if your waking up and accidentally swipe without paying attention, you will inadvertently delete your alarm without realizing it.
